Ali Vedad Yuner is a Turkish-born jeweler and designer currently based in Providence, RI. Charmed by the silvery facades of pelagic fish frequently encountered in the Turkish coast, a visual interest in metal was born. This interest in metal landed Ali in Pratt Institute, where he graduated with a degree in Industrial Design. Along with a need for creative expression, and a reaffirmed fascination with metal invoked through a brief stint in commercial jewelry, he ended up in Rhode Island School of Design, where he is currently studying for an MFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. Deeming the curve language of locomotive biology as the most aesthetically pleasing forms, he composes organs, bones, and evolved structures into adornments of talismanic power.
